Wore spikes to about 2600 ft, then shoes to the summit and down to the more level terrain. The trail is more mooshy and not as packed down above 2600 feet in the trees. The ridge was hard packed, no drifts. Met one another hiker - today was her grid summit for Carrigain! One cross-country skier coming up Sawyer River Road on my way down. |
