Comments
Comments: Well what a weird April I mean February day. Started off with a little later start due to the car on the roof on route 16 from black ice. Then it started to rain. The lot had 1 car in it until the traffic probably started to clear through the notch. The trail started off a very firm pack which was great but the later in the morning it got and higher we got, the warmer it got. We hit the summit and other that washington it was open views. Not ice on the trail either (went up like an ice luge a year ago) once we headed down, still warmer and more people coming up. I would say about 15 people or so throughout the day. Only saw 3 with snowshoes and others did not have them. It was a little sticky at times but snowshoes would be the way to go as post holes (some even with snowshoes) made the trail a mess. Even some rocks low started to come through the snow and some mud… Come back winter!!!
