Comments
Comments: Started off around 9:45am with 45degree temps. Snow was solid at the start but started melting from the heat and sun pretty quickly. Almost everyone we passed was in just microspikes, but conditions became wet enough that even the snowshoers were post-holing near the end. Near the top there was little choice but to butt slide on our way back down; felt a bit like we were at a water park. Last half-hour or so (3-3:30) it rained on us, which just melted the snow faster. Sunny with a rainbow when we made it to the parking lot. My boots are still drying out 2 days later.
