| Comments: |
Return of seasonable weather has locked up everything. Top to bottom snowpack remains (a few bare spots visible in the sunny spots down low), including continuous frozen footbed (some blue ice down low, but otherwise frozen granular). Unfortunately, a good portion of the footbed is lined with postholes, resulting in premature monorail in places.
Snowshoes or Microspikes are adequate on the main trail until either the weather warms up or we get snow. I wouldn't chance the secondary trails without snowshoes, as there is over a foot of snowpack.
Blustery, windy afternoon with temperatures in the 20s and partly sunny skies. |
