| Comments: |
Trail was solidly packed down! Started for an afternoon hike at 2:30pm and was able to bareboot it all the way to the ladders, and then we switched to micospikes to hoist ourselves through the cave which was pure ice. The opening out of the cave was very tight, I am 5’4” and pretty slender and could barely make it through. Once on Mt. Morgan, we wore microspikes til the parking lot. Signs of previous postholing, but the snow was so frozen that we couldn’t even break through when walking off trail. |
