Comments
Comments: I've been reading and hearing about problems with the ski patrol on Wildcat so I tried to get going fairly early at about 7:45am. So I went (ala pink panther) right up the gut of the mountain on one of the closed trails just over from the main chair. Mid-way up there is a nice frozen brook with minimal trees down across it and I followed that up the middle 1/3 of the mountain. Then after crossing skied areas was able to get back on closed terrain for the final bit. No problems.

Wild Cat Ridge Trail is packed out well. Thanks to those who did it Saturday in warmer temps it has set up nicely now. Brought snowshoes but did not need them.

Stopped at Carter Notch Hut for lunch and to change clothes.

The Trails across the carters continued to be well packed. I used microspikes the whole way. Saw Feather Hat and Polly coming off South Carter just up from Zeta Pass.

The views of the Presidentials and the mountains towards the east on the Maine border were outstanding from South Cater right on through.

Made it back to 19 mile brook parking lot just as Steve and Polly were headed home thank you --thank you for the lift back to Wildcat. I owe you one.
