| Comments: |
Spikes or bare boots on Lincoln Woods trail are fine. It got a lot of use on Saturday. I wore snowshoes for the remainder of the hike. Everyone (9 today) wore snowshoes, so the trails (except the steep section of the Brutus bushwack) are in good shape with no postholes. The new snow last night and today isn't well consolidated, so any incline can be a bit slippery in boots, so snowshoes are recommended. The steep section of the Brutus bushwack is icy with new snow on top. Full crampons would work best on this section. Microspikes not so good. |
