Temps and winds were better than forecast. Trails are well packed, hard & fast! Went up South 1st for a change of pace. Full crampons would not be overkill climbing this peak. I forgot how steep this was! I had Hillsound spikes on & it was tough going. Snowshoes would have been useless. Snowshoes would have been good on the Ridge between peaks, but not really worth carrying today. Not much for views today. Fast coming down North, butt sliding by choice or not was the best way down. Just another amazing day in the Whites |
