| Comments: |
Barebooted the flat section of Pine Bend Brook trail which was nicely packed then put on my snowshoes for the elevators and kept them on until the end of the hike. The ridge had some drifted snow in spots and the trail was messy from butt sliders, the trail could use some snowshoers to come through and smooth it out! The steep sections were tricky on the descent. I liked having the larger spikes on my snowshoes for stability, the trail was densely packed snow that provided good grip. There was hard ice in a few spots but easily navigable. Overall a beautiful day in the mountains and only a few others on the trail! |
