| Comments: |
Nicely tracked out from car to Cabot cabin. Increasingly drifty & hard to navigate until beyond horn. We were breaking trail on Kilkenny ridge from Cabot to horn in 2-3’ drifts. Unfortunately, we chased some off trail snowshoe tracks in this section or got delayed by blowdowns & snow loaded trees obscuring trail route. Had to stop a few times & glare at phone. Nonetheless, the horn overlook wasn’t too icy on top & going down to unknown pond increasingly got more tracked out & civilized. Please wear your snowshoes around here when trail not solidly tracked out. The trail system overall a nice snowshoe terrain park & temps locally can stay cold for awhile, so good snowshoe days ahead hopefully! |
