Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Cooper had a blast following behind my snowshoe track. He joins me on the ideal pup bushwhacking conditions. Firm supportive snow with a minimal loose powder on top, and wide open woods. Snow depths sufficiently covering brush, and low whippy branches. No water for pups however.

Comments
Comments: Walked up the extension of Hunts Mountain road to the powerlines and snomo trail 103 intersection. Turned north and followed the snomo/power line road for a short distance. Stayed straight onto an old logging road at a point when the road turned to the left under the power lines. We walked about 2/3 mile up the old logging road before entering the forest and heading NE through the open woods. Small dusting over nicely supportive crust covered all the brush, logs, rocks, etc. Additionally, several spots in each COL between minor peaks was frozen over, but could be quite wet in any other season. All contributing to a very pleasant BW to the recognized summit.
