| Comments: |
Snowshoes or spikes worked well today. Trails were reasonably consolidated packed light powder from the past several days snowfalls. The surface snow was a bit loose on the upper elevations. There are sporadic postholes along the trailbed edges, but easy to avoid. The steep sections on Pine Bend are slick from butt sledding. Snowshoes or spikes with longer teeth will make getting up and down these sections easier. Microspikes will likely result in lots of slipping. Some minor drifting near Middle Tri. |
