Comments
Comments: Spikes all the way. Road walk is short and quick, then Gorge Brook Trail is nicely packed and barely postholed, awesome conditions really. Ridge on Carriage Road was a little drifty at times and quite icy on a couple sections - very short sections are snowshoes worthy so whatever your preference. Carriage Road after Glencliff intersection had a little movable powder, spikes worked fine without trail damage but snowshoes could've worked too. Whatever's your jam baby. Couple of ankle twisting "oh $#!%" moments into the frozen postholes farther down on Carriage Road to watch out for. Snapper Trail is in mostly good shape. All in all these trails are in great condition right now. Awesome, beautiful day on the hillock!
