Three small bare spots (in the usual locations, two of which are on the sunny part of the Yellow Trail), otherwise full top to bottom snowpack.
After crossing the boardwalk, I put on snowshoes and left them on until returning to that point. Microspikes would have sufficed in this afternoon's temperatures (upper 30s and cloudy), but I was happy in snowshoes. Snowpack was probably 6 to 20 inches. Aforementioned bare spots were only a few steps each. |
