Success Pond Road was plowed somewhat wide, icy most of the way (beginning frozen gravel); I did park at the trailhead but during the week maybe park at the spot before the trailhead..might be logging going on.. |

Trail hike check for blowdowns and due to Larry's attention last fall not one blow down on Success Trail; just a short section on the first Overlook Loop needed sawing to be passable (many small firs); snowshoes the way to go, as though frozen, not much activity so I was sinking in slightly, and up higher powdery spots...a big moose postholed some of the upper sections...of course things could change but maybe next few days might be good for this section of Mahoosucs.. |
