Comments: only had a few issues finding blazes in the big open areas on the top of the minor bumps - not always easy to find blazes

Terrific afternoon! Bluebird skies. Wasn't sure how far I'd go, but, conditions were so good (not sinking into snow while using snowshoes) that I continued on. Was really only going to visit the bumps to the east of the power lines but kept going. About 3pm checked my turnaround time and checked my headlamp(s) to make sure they were charged, confirmed they were good, and kept going. Not really sure how far, but, between 9 and 10 miles RT. Saw a HUGE moose on the return and followed him/her to power lines. Lots of tracks and scat - moose scat, turkey tracks, bear tracks. Didn't see anyone. This is definitely the way to go to really enjoy the ridge and hit all the open areas!!!!

I did start down the unmarked Welton Falls Trail (S) into the logging area, thinking I might out-and-back to Gove Rd but realized the trail was probably just connecting logging roads - easy enough to go up that way at a later date.

A big shout-out to the trail maintainer(s)!!!!
