| Comments: |
From about .5 to 1.5 lots of ice flows dominate trail. Microspikes are not optimal if you want to walk on the ice, 10 points better. As we were in spikes we had to dodge and weave our way up (and down) on that section. Beyond that packed and frozen snow with only a few ice flows to skirt. Monorailish in sections, packed and frozen over in others. Lovely on top, not as much wind as might have expected from higher summits forecast. Nice lunch out of wind in tower with stellar views of Presidentials, and 360 of course. |
