Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some clean up may be needed in the spring once all the snow melts. A large tree came down while we were up on the summit (or bushwhack). Bottom was fractured and leaning into the wind on ascent but it fell in the opposite direction due to the force of winds. Currently it is along side the trail, but part is hovering over the trail. A second tree (also fractured at the bottom) looks as it could fall right on the trail at any moment.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Cooper had a blast. Shorter route with gradual ascent great for older pups. BW ok for pups in winter.

Comments
Comments: High winds today, so decided to stay low. Wonderfully maintained trail on private lands; thanks to the owner for the opportunity to hike this hill with a fantastic view of the presies. Trail marked with arrows and signs to inform hikers of the route to the summit and the bench for relaxation. Couple of inches (1-2) of snow fell after the previous nites rains. The result was some small but hidden ice flows.

BW on supportive snow in open woods with a few tight spots to RHP. Our ascending foot prints were already blown in on descent by the strong winds in exposed spots.
