Comments
Comments: Spencer Smith trail was icy to start near the gate, transitioned to scattered ice and snow patches, to areas of bare ground where the sun reaches in. We wore light traction (rock spikes)the whole time as icy spots or icy snow patches were common enough. We could have done without traction but didn't want to trample trail edges or non-trail areas while trying to avoid ice. Link trail was mostly snow and ice free, as was Neil Mooers Tr.

A great hike on a smaller mountain. Little effort up for a long ridge walk with restricted views along the way. Nice views were had at the South Ledges, worth going a little farther to see views of Bow Lake, the Saddleback Mtns in Northwood, and the Pawtuckaway mtns.

Quiet trails, we didn't see anyone while we were out, one other car in lot upon our return.
