Spikes all the way. Road walk is uneventful but a great warmup, I was in major go-mode once I hit the trailhead. Some soft spots in the sun along the road. Signal Ridge Trail has some minor postholes early on but is in great shape really. Maybe I'm just so used to the postholes lately, but it really didn't seem that bad here! Some movable powder between the ridge and the summit but otherwise quick good footing. Snowshoes went for a ride this time but it looks like a warm week ahead. Big hello to Jeff who I just saw a couple days ago on Isolation (you know, great minds and such..) All in all trail is in epic shape and those views from Carrigain are some of the best! |
