Plowed but the snow melted to form a pond that has frozen - definitely consider traction before you step out of the car, if it is below freezing. Ask me how I know! |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I am the trail adopter. We hiked for sunrise I was super glad that I had my Silky Saw because there were two very complicated blow downs that we could not maneuver over or around. I made a path through both on the way up and fully sorted them out on the way back down. There was one additional blowdown that I took care of and then a grouping of two that I left for Tuesday when I will be up there again. The grouping of two are currently an easy step over. |

We hiked out and back to the East Ledges for sunrise (which was stunning; I will post photos on social media today!).
As previously reported there are a gazillion postholes. In general the snow is barely stable and there is visible elevated monorail in places. Our entire hike was when the temperatures were below freezing and the conditions were borderline poor. I would highly recommend toting along snowshoes if you are planning your hike for when the temperatures are above freezing, as it is likely that they will be needed!
Interestingly the East Ledges were almost completely snow-free. What a weird winter. |
