| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked in the same dirt pull off that we parked in last week, a tenth or two of a mile up Quarry Rd. I didn’t really note the parking situation where the abandoned road bears right. |

Some easy old stepover blowdowns along the road and footpath, then a small cluster of a duck under/widowmaker and stepover/straddler near the drainage along the footpath. The footpath is marked with white blazes. The WMT generally is marked with blue diamonds with a white outline. |

1st hike of the day and my friend’s running late for my 2nd hike of the day so I’m posting a trail report in about as timely of a manner as I could be for once ;P This “chad” of sorts between Gap Mtn Trail and Quarry Rd was annoying me so I went ahead and got it today. It rained overnight so everything’s wet and water is noticeably high. No snow on the road/trail but lots of wet leaves and some mud. Note that the footpath diverges from the abandoned road a bit earlier than it shows on Gaia. The footpath is marked with white blazes but is not well defined at all. Some PUDS as it passes near the summit of Fern Hill. Gaia had me at 2mi, about 300ft of gain, 45min. |
