Spikes or snowshoes both worked this morning from the trailhead to Mt. Pierce. From there to Eisenhower, we wore snowshoes. The final 0.3 miles up to Eisenhower was extremely wet from the warmth. Neither spikes nor snowshoes were ideal, but I’d say snowshoes worked better. On the way down, we used snowshoes the whole way. No views today but a warm day. It feels like spring! |
