| Water Crossing Notes: |
Minor and fine, although at 1.5 mi on ascent the ice/snow bridge is disintegrating and crossing requires a little toe dunk in the water. If you’re taller maybe it’s ok. |

Great run up this hill despite clouds rolling in with lots of nice folks on the trail. Donned spikes right after the maple sugar shack - we maybe could have waited til the 1.1 mi trail fork to the left as there were stretches of bare spots, but honestly glad we put them in when we did. Wore spikes back to car. Spur trail has a lot of postholes but is still doable on spikes. Did not see anyone in snowshoes even a guy who looked like he was descending from the Kinsmans; too much more of this weather and I wonder how you’d do the trail without snowshoes. Sure wished I d worn my gaiters too; very muddy. |
