Comments
Comments: Was concerned about water levels & bridges with yesterday’s rain & the warm temps. Early start trails were hard & fast. Greasy on the way back. Black Pond bushwhack was a little hard to follow due to minimal snow cover. Snow bridges are failing fast. Busted thru the 1st 1 on the way in & the 2nd one on the way out. These 2 will probably be gone by midweek. Brutus is very icy above the water running on trail. Crampons would be best, I had K 10s & did fine for the most part. Only 1 other summited today, very quiet. If planning on doing this be prepared to wade the crossings. We may have been the last 2 to cross on the bridges this year.
