Turnaround at end of plowed drivable end of Cummings road. Pretty muddy today. Parked at the plowed end of Cummings since turnaround was signed no parking April-Nov. |

Not Coop's favorite hike. Snow was not even supportive for his 40 lbs. But, lots of drinkable flowing water to quench a thirst, and the woods were wide open. |

Was hoping to find packed snowmo trails, but there were none to be found. Walked down the extension of Cummings road the the N-S T-intersection. North was signed no trespassing. Went south through the closed gate into a logged field and onto an old logging road at the NW corner. Followed several old logging roads ascending and descending from the summit. Quite a bit of water under snow at lower elevations to work around, including in Cummings road. Overall, the grades were easy, woods are open, and snow was not supportive, but generally only broke through 4-6 inches. Thanks so much to the group who replaced the register recently. |
