| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I paid to park at Highland Center.
There were spots near the RR tracks |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes, Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All bridged or easy except main crossing of Crawford Brook. The water is shallow enough you'll hardly wet your boots, especially if you wear snowshoes |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
4 blowdowns on A-Z near spur. None very difficult. Two have a bypass path |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw none, but should be doable |
|

None!!! |

| Comments: |
Snowshoes were very helpful to stay out of postholes. But none of the 7 folks I met had them, and they didn't seem to be having any trouble in microspikes.
Avalon near the crossing is pretty neat up, tho |
