| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked in the lot on Mountain Rd for Wantastiquet Mtn. Small dirt lot for half a dozen to a dozen cars. Only a couple others when I arrived around 8:30am. Several more when we started around 9am and more still when we returned around 9:30am I think. I think this is a pretty popular place and imagine that ut easily overflows on weekends. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
A rather large bridge helped us get across the Connecticut River ;P |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Interestingly, we saw no signage for the WMT between the lot on Mountain Rd and Brattleboro. There may have been one of those blue diamonds or something across the bridge but we didn't find any signage by the food co-op. |

Wantastiquet-Monadnock Trail (Mountain Rd, NH/VT 119)
A friend and I hiked this westernmost portion of the WMT for SNH redlining. We did not go to the parking garage as the trail is only described from the co-op. Note that there appears to be a large homeless population in this area and by the bridge so some may be unnerved hiking this by themselves especially at certain times of the day. Gaia had us at 1.4mi, 100ft of gain. |
