Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Cardigan Mountain Rd. Is closed in winter but there is parking at the base. VERY muddy road in parts up to this point with deep tire tracks-would be very difficult for cars with low clearance or bad traction. Road walk adds about .5 miles.

Dog-Related Notes: Saw dogs on the way up and at summit. Could be slippery in parts and going down south ridge trail could be a challenge due to steep, slippery, and narrow parts of trail.

Comments: Great trip! We had excellent weather and overall good conditions with spikes. Wouldn’t go without them! The road walk only added about .5 miles and was easy walking. Enjoyed this route as a loop.
