Comments
Comments: The first two miles going up to Mt. Roberts had no snow. The last section going through a wooded area just before the summit, the trail had hard ice and light traction was helpful. From the summit over to Faraway, there was a lot of loose granular snow. Snow shoes helped, but still a lot of sliding around. Beneath the snow is a lot of water. As we approached Cold Spring Trail, we were able to take off the snow shoes and bare boot back to the car.
