| Comments: |
Snow started just above Waumbek Station, I put on spikes there, but quickly switched to snowshoes for the heel lifts; others had snowshoes on also, but most stayed with spikes. Full snow coverage to the summit, but was getting thin in some places on the way down. Snow was slippery on the descent, I kept snowshoes on till the dry ground appeared again at Waumbek Station, but the bare ground that had been frozen in the morning was now slippery mud and I almost bought the farm a couple times. The mud was more slippery than the snow. Beautiful day today with perfect weather. |
