Snowshoes were on from the moment I stepped out of my car. I was told that a friend hiked this the pervious night. The Late snow and strong winds covered up overnight tracks. The breaking out trail wasn't that bad it was a sunny Tuesday. It was coming back down that the snowshoes were starting to collect snowballs under my snowshoes. Lots of drifts starting at the switchback section of the hike. After you reach the junction of Kilkenny Ridge Trail the snow gets pretty thick. I hiked down passed three hikers two were staying overnight they were bare-booting so the trails pretty soft. I would use snowshoes hiking up Cabot this weekend. |
