| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I appeared to be the only one all day at the designated trailhead for Pisgah State Park on NH 119 in Winchester. Note that the vehicle roads into the park are now gated for mud season and will reopen on May 23. Foot traffic into the park is still ok. |

Four widowmakers and many, many small blowdowns on Dogwood Swamp Trail. I believe Friends Of Pisgah will be doing a sweep through here soon. A few small trees are down across Broad Brook Rd. |

| Comments: |
A beautiful day for a 14-mile loop deep into the heart of Pisgah State Park. The cool air and bright sun was delightful.
Overall, this entire route was mostly dry and bare. There was some minor mud and a few wet areas, but both were minimal.
Friends Of Pisgah have built a short view spur off Old Chesterfield Rd., 0.3 mi. north of Broad Brook Rd., that offers a fine view over the valley of Broad Brook. There's also a bench here where you can rest and take in the view.
Didn't see a single human all day but did spot an otter at Fullam Pond. |
