| Comments: |
This sun-exposed trail has very little snow left. Some muck along the flats down low. There are some patches of ice on the ledges in the shade from runoff, but it can generally be crossed with care or circumvented without trampling vegetation. I did observe snowpack in the woods on the summit ridge, so this is not necessarily indicative of other Belknap peaks (this is often one of the first mountain-trails in the range to thaw when others are still snowy/icy).
Beautiful spring-like afternoon with sunny skies and temperatures in the 40s. |
