| Comments: |
Trail was snow covered all the way to the parking lot. We wore snowshoes as did the three hikers ahead of us. They headed over the Cannonballs to the Kinsmans. They were breaking trail heading that direction on KRT. Everyone else that we saw (8 people and three dogs) had spikes. I felt extremely happy to have snowshoes as the trail was softening up considerably by mid morning. Pretty sure that the trail will be a bit trashed by the end of the day, but probably won’t be refeeezing too much so maybe it doesn’t really matter. |
