19 MBT is choppy but firm enough in the cold morning, but bareboots will posthole in the warm afternoon.
One soul broke trail with snowshoes up Carter-Moriah to the Dome. I followed, also with snowshoes. The drifts, much of it 12 to 18 inches deep, caused even the snowshoes to posthole and we did not leave a well broken trail. It's going to take some work to pack it down. I highly advise against barebooting |
