| Comments: |
A beautiful spring-like day. Firm powder in the early morning softening through the day. I wore snowshoes most of the way. The trail is steep and relentless, but all rocks and ice were covered by soft grippy snow. I broke trail on the way up. Many bare booters were heading up after me around noon, plus a few snowshoers. I used a sidestep technique on the way down the steep part to avoid creating a slide. I was a little nervous of avalanche conditions, but I think that danger has passed. |
