| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The usual parking spots were not plowed and I wasnt comfortable parking on the shoulder anywhere near the trailhead. There wasnt enough room. If you are coming from lincoln continue past the trailhead .5 mile and after the guardrails theres a plowed clearing on the left side of the road with enough space for 3-4 cars. Thats the only good parking option right now. |

| Comments: |
This route is broken out pretty well now but it is still very soft from the warm temperatures. Snowshoes were the best traction to use or else I would have been postholing pretty badly. Theres some thick ice just under the snow in places. I took my snowshoes off to climb the bypass (the rock scramble) to the chimney. It was bare rock. The bypass to the bypass (through the woods) has not been broken out. The greeley ponds trail has several sections where the snow has melted, leaving wet trail behind. If you need the osceolas nows a great time to get them because these winter conditions wont last long. |
