| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked in the lot on Round Pond Road -- we were the last car in at 10:30. When we returned, the lost was still full, but with different vehicles, and a couple more parked right at the edge of the lot. Round Pond Road is a bit rutted, but not too bad. |

| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Nothing of note. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A handful of medium- to large-sized blowdowns throughout our walk today. Most are stepovers/walkarounds, and are only a minor annoyance. One new one of note (softwood, 14-18 inches in diameter?), though, is at the intersection of the South Ridge Trail and Shaw Trail, and obscures the intersection enough that it could make the turnoff to Shaw from South Ridge confusing. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
|
|
| Bugs: |
Mosquitoes -- yes. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Found the red leash mentioned in the previous day's post, on the South Ridge Trail, and placed it at the lost and found station at the Round Pond Road parking area. |

| Comments: |
A fine Pi Day on the trails in this state park.
Most of the trails are bone dry; what wet sections exist are inconsequential.
For as full as the parking areas were, including the one on Reservation Road, we still saw only 5 or 6 people all day over 10+ miles of trail, including the summits of all three peaks. |
