I was able to drive right into the parking lot on Route 115. A 2wd vehicle could get stuck in the minimal snow if not parked carefully. I understand it is not normally plowed in the winter. |

There wasn't much snow for mid-March in the Whites (maybe 2-4" at the base with some bald spots), but I did have to "break trail" with snowshoes on the upper 1/3 of the ascent. Once on the summit ridgeline the trail was partially packed by a snowmobile track. Good views from various lookoffs on the summit. No other hikers seen that day. |
