Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: First half mile is very muddy with standing and running water in the trail. Some of the mud sections have rocks you can use. There were a few, small trees crossing the trail. There is a confusing intersection just after the Spruce Lookout about 1.5 miles up the CRT. There is a clearing with yellow blaze markers on a handful of trees going off to the right (east). I'm guessing this is a cutover to the Kodiak Trail. The CRT continues straight and eventually you will start to see blue blazes once again.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My two cattle dogs loved it. Easy hike for them compared to other 52 WAV.

Comments
Comments: Good hike but very foggy so we were not rewarded with a view at the top. First half mile is very muddy but after that the trail is snow covered. We used poles and microspikes going up and down. The snow was mashed potatoes which made this hike more difficult with all the slipping and sliding. We did see another group using snow shoes but not sure if using them made the trek easier.
