Walked through the cemetery to the gravel pit where a massive front end loader is parked. There is a trail sign just past it hidden behind a pile of logs. The trail starts right around here. From the looks of things this trail has seen only light traffic this winter and has avoided the fate of becoming chopped up during last week's thaw. Today was winter again though, with 6-8" of fresh powder and about a foot near the summit. Broke trail with snowshoes start to finish. Trail is in excellent shape right with a firm base and a nice showshoe track on top. |
