Started hiking at 530am we were the only ones in the lot at the time, so plenty of parking. Lot was filling up when we finished around 815am.
Cubical ambition got me today as the original plan was to hike Tecumseh and then Owlie.
We broke trail in 4-6 inches of fresh powder from the start. Snow depth became 6 to 12 inches after the view point. From there the snow depth ranged from a foot to up to our knees with the drifting near the summit. After the summit loop sign, the snow was very unconsolidated and drifting. Stay to the left at the sign.
Only saw one other gentleman on our way back down. At that point the trail was slightly bony past the lookout.
We were humbled by Tecumseh today and will not be heading to owls head but instead back home to warm up. First spring hike of the season and first time getting the golden ticket.
100% snowshoes.
This report will self destruct in the next 12hrs
