The plan was for two of us to do a northbound Cats & Caters ascending the ski slopes before they opened. As luck would have it, Kurt had car trouble and by the time we got to Wildcat it was to late. We dropped a car there and head to 19MB to attempt it clockwise. Once heading over the snowbank it was clear this was going to be a slog; there's around 30" of powder down low. We checked our pace shortly after joining Imp and decided we didn't want a 12 hour day. Since it's all or nothing, we bailed.
So apologies to anyone who may have made the decision to head out after seeing our tracks from the road. |
