Breaking trail all day. Three of my friends were helping me hike this for my Grid. We decided to turn around after the first peak. Mt Osceola will be hiked a different day. Breaking trail from the moment you stepped outside your car. It was up to my chalfs breaking trail. We saw three others on the trail joining in on breaking trail. We knew it was going to be a tough day. I am very proud of the hiking community we were taking turns breaking trail and it was a tough one. I am very grateful of the hikers on this hike because we all had to dig deep. We all got to the really steep section and then legs were starting to fail. The 2nd group turned around and we kept going. We still had some steep hike left to hike. We made it to the first summit and we just ran out of light. We wanted to get back to our cars in the daylight. The decision to turn around wasn't hard. We hiked out admiring our hard work. |
