Snow shoes the whole day. Thanks to the group that broke it out on Sunday! It still required some work to pack the trail down but it sure was a lot easier than the group on Sunday must have had. A barebooter had been through after the snowshoes and the trail was firm enough in the morning that it made the trip up rather annoying and ankle twisting. But as the day warmed up the snow became soft enough that I think the three of us packed down the trail fairly well on the way out and smoothed out most of the boot prints on our way down. |
