| Comments: |
Trail crampons door to door but snowshoes will be helpful when temps warm up - I managed to get down before the trails turned soft in this insane 60 degree weather. I must say, I am amazed how much snow there is still on Carter Dome - snow depth must be 4-5 feet at the summit. The uppermost portion of the trough does not actually follow the Carter Moriah trail but veers to the west over the trees buried there, but it still gets you to the summit. Shout out to Al and Dot - nice seeing you guys. |
