Comments
Comments: Beautiful day in the whites. First mile is basically a stream coming down trail mixed with mud and some patchy areas of snow and ice. After Protected forest sign, snow becomes more permanent and goes all the way to summit, which is exposed rock. There are done minor avoidable post hikes along the side, but spikes were perfectly fine. I started at 7am so everything was frozen, by 10 when I was headed down after a 45 minute break at the top, snow was more spring conditions and getting slushy. I used my hillsounds without issue the entire hike. I thought about going to flume, but it wasn’t well broken out and I didn’t feel like snowshoeing over (even though they took a ride on my pack today). Was just a beautiful day. Conditions are sure to change Tuesday/wednesday/Thursday with incoming storm. Stay safe all!
