This southern-exposure route is mostly melted-out at the moment and the ground is not frozen, so whatever we get in the upcoming storm shouldn't stick for long. If wanting to hike Piper in the near-term future, this is probably the better way to go (as compared to the more shaded Piper Mountain Trail). Some muck in the usual places down low.
