The water crossing on the Iso Express was a little tough. There is a ton of snow covering Rocky Branch and it was hard to tell what was rocks, ice bridge or just snow piled between rocks over water. |

Some blowdowns down low - 2 or 3 walkovers and 1 walk around. |

Good for dogs, but the snow is deep and soft |

Lost a lot of pride. |

| Comments: |
WARNING: the two bushwhacks are broken out but they are terrible. They will get you there, but there is a lot of meandering (very sorry about that - hopefully they can get better tracked).
That said, the first half mile or so had turned to mush (tracked up by boots and paws). Above that the trail is mashed potatoes, then sticky and then powder. I was the lone hiker. I did meet a skier who went up to the Rocky Branch/Isolation junction on Friday and spent the night. There were snow showers off and on all day and snow was blowing - so some trail breaking will be necessary. |
